Names and titles of the devil reveal his methods, wiles, tricks, cunning and tactics to take tohers to hell with him – it will do us well to KNOW OUR ENEMIES ways… 2 Cor 2:11 ‘we are not IGNORANT of satans devices’

The Lord through the written logos has revealed to us what we need to know about His enemy thus our enemy. The names of the devil point to his deceiving, mind manipulating desire to control and pervert thoughts and bring others to destruction by obeying his lies and deceptions.

ABBADON: Rev 9:11 And they had as king over them the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon, but in Greek he has the name Apollyon.
StrongsAbaddon (ab-ad-dohn’); of Hebrew origin [OT:11]; a destroying angel:KJV – Abaddon.
Thayer’s Greek Lexicon AbaddoonNT:3 Abaddoon,1. ruin, destruction2. the place of destruction3. the angel-prince of the infernal regions, Apolluoon Destroyer, Rev 11:11.
This word name and title shows the destructive fruits to ruin and destroy the Living God, His people and the people of the world

ACCUSER: Rev 12:10 Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven,”Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down.
Strong’s Numbers kategoros NT:2725 kategoros (kat-ay’-gor-os); from NT:2596 and NT:58; against one in the assembly, i.e. a complaintant at law; specially, Satan:KJV – accuser.NT:2725
Vine’s Expository Dictionary of Biblical Words: 2. kategoros NT:2725, “an accuser,” is used in John 8:10; Acts 23:30,35; 24:8; 25:16,18. In Rev 12:10, it is used of Satan. In the Sept., Prov 18:17.
Prov 18:17 The first one to plead his cause seems right,Until his neighbor comes and examines him
1 Tim 5:19  Do not receive an accusation against an elder except from two or three witnesses. 20 Those who are sinning rebuke in the presence of all, that the rest also may fear.
2 Peter 2:11 whereas angels, who are greater in power and might, do not bring a reviling accusation against them before the Lord.
Jude 9 Yet Michael the archangel, in contending with the devil, when he disputed about the body of Moses, dared not bring against him a reviling accusation , but said,”The Lord rebuke you!”
REVILING: Strong’s Numbers blasphemia NT:988 blasphemia (blas-fay-me’-ah); from NT:989; vilification (especially against God):KJV – blasphemy, evil speaking, railing.

Thayer’s Greek Lexicon NT:988 blasfeemia, blasfeemias, hee, railing, revilinga. universally, slander, detraction, speech injurious to another’s good name: Matt 12:31 b. specifically, impious and reproachful speech injurious to the divine majesty: Matt 26:65

ADVERSARY: 1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. 9 Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.antidikos
Strong’s Numbers NT:476 antidikos (an-tid’-ee-kos); from NT:473 and NT:1349; an opponent (in a lawsuit); specially, Satan (as the arch-enemy):KJV – adversary.

Thayer’s Greek Lexicon NT:476 antidikos, antidikona. an opponent in a suit at law: Matt 5:25 b. universally, an adversavy, enemy 1 Peter 5:8

Vine’s Expository Dictionary antidikos NT:476, firstly, “an opponent in a lawsuit,” Matt 5:25 (twice); Luke 12:58; 18:3, is also used to denote “an adversary or an enemy,” without reference to legal affairs, and this is perhaps its meaning in 1 Peter 5:8, where it is used of the Devil. Some would regard the word as there used in a legal sense, since the Devil accuses men before God.

ANGEL OF LIGHT: 2 Cor 11:14 And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light.

Strong’s  NT:5457 phos (foce); from an obsolete phao (to shine or make manifest, especially by rays; compare NT:5316, NT:5346); luminousness (in the widest application, nat. or artificial, abstract or concrete, literal or figurative):KJV – fire, light.
Thayer’s Greek Lexicon NT:5457 foos, footos, to1. properly,a. universally: 2 Cor 4:6 b. by metonymy, anything emitting light: a heavenly luminary (or star), plural James 1:17 c. light i. e. brightness Rev 22:5

LIGHTVine’s Expository Dictionary  NT:54571. phos NT:5457, akin to phao, “to give light” (from roots pha— and phan—, expressing “light as seen by the eye,” and, metaphorically, as “reaching the mind,” whence phaino, “to make to appear,” phaneros, “evident,” etc.); cf. Eng., “phosphorus” (lit., “light-bearing”). “Primarily light is a luminous emanation, probably of force, from certain bodies, which enables the eye to discern form and color.

ANGEL Vine’s Expository Dictionary ANGEL NT:321. angelos NT:32, “a messenger, an angel, one sent,”

TRANSFORM; metaschematizoNT:3345 metaschematizo (met-askh-ay-mat-id’-zo); from NT:3326 and a derivative of NT:4976; to transfigure or disguise; figuratively, to apply (by accommodation):KJV – transfer, transform (self). …..      Note: TO DISGUISE
transform Thayer’s Greek Lexicon  NT:3345 metascheematizoo:to change the figure of, to transform 2 Cor 11:13 f

APPOLYON: Rev 9:11 And they had as king over them the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon, but in Greek he has the name (kjv = HIS NAME) Apollyon (GR = DESTROYER).
Apollyon  Apolluon NT:623 Apolluon (ap-ol-loo’-ohn); active participle of NT:622; a destroyer (i.e. Satan):KJV – Apollyon.kjv: ‘his name destroyer’ – IN PLAIN ENGLISH…

BEELZEBUB:  Matt 10:25 It is enough for a disciple that he be like his teacher, and a servant like his master. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more will they call those of his household!  (WHOEVER THEIR MASTER AND TEACHER IS THEY WILL BARE THE FRUIT THEREOF)
Matt 12:24  Now when the Pharisees heard it they said, “This fellow does not cast out demons except by Beelzebub, the ruler of the demons.”

BELIAL: 2 Cor 6:15 And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever?Beliar
Strong’s Numbers NT:955 Beliar (bel-ee’-ar) or Belial (bel-ee’-al); of Hebrew origin [OT:1100]; worthlessness; Belial, as an epithet of Satan:KJV – Belial (Beliar).
Strong’s Numbers Hebrew origin OT:1100 beliya`al (bel-e-yah’-al); from OT:1097 and OT:3276; without profit, worthlessness; by extension, destruction, wickedness (often in connection with OT:376, OT:802, OT:1121, etc.):KJV – Belial, evil, naughty, ungodly (men), wicked.
BELIAL
belial NT:955 is a word frequently used in the Old Testament, with various meanings, especially in the books of Samuel, where it is found nine times. See also Deut 13:13; Judg 19:22; 20:13; 1 Kings 21:10,13; 2 Chron 13:7. Its original meaning was either “worthlessness” or “hopeless ruin” (see the RV, margin). It also had the meanings of “extreme wickedness and destruction,” the latter indicating the destiny of the former.
In the period between the OT and the NT it came to be a proper name for Satan. There may be an indication of this in Nah 1:15, where the word translated “the wicked one” is Belial.
Nah 1:1515 Behold, on the mountains The feet of him who brings good tidings,Who proclaims peace!O Judah, keep your appointed feasts,Perform your vows. For the wicked one (belial) shall no more pass through you;He is utterly cut off.

In the NT, in 2 Cor 6:15, it is set in contrast to Christ and represents a personification of the system of impure worship connected especially with the cult of Aphrodite.
(lets remember the principles taught in this portion of scripture (not just one idol) -
‘separation from darkeness’ ‘clinging to the Lord” = proof we are His!
2 Cor 6:11-7:311 Be Holy O Corinthians! We have spoken openly to you, our heart is wide open. 12 You are not restricted by us, but you are restricted by your own affections. 13 Now in return for the same(I speak as to children), you also be open. 14 Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? 15 And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? 16 And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said:
“I will dwell in them And walk among them.I will be their God,And they shall be My people.”
17 Therefore ”Come out from among them And be separate, says the Lord.Do not touch what is unclean,And I will receive you.”   18′I will be a Father to you,And you shall be My sons and daughters,Says the LORD Almighty.”
2 Corinthians 77:1 The Corinthians’ Repentance Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
2 The Corinthians’ Repentance Open your hearts to us. We have wronged no one, we have corrupted no one, we have cheated no one. NKJV

DEVIL: Eph 6:11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.
Rev 12:9 So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

DRAGON: Rev 12:9 So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

EVIL ONE: Matt 6:13 And do not lead us into temptation,But deliver us from the evil one.For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

MURDERER: John 8:44  You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.

LIAR: FATHER OF LIES: John 8:44  You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.

RULER OF THIS WORLD: John 12:31 Now is the judgment of this world; now the ruler of this world will be cast out.

RULER OF THE DEMONS: Matt 9:34  But the Pharisees said,”He casts out demons by the ruler of the demons.”

PRINCE OF THE POWER OF THE AIR: Eph 2:2  in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience,

ROARING LION: 1 Peter 5:8  Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

SATAN: Luke 10:18  And He said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.

14 Peter’s Sermon (Joel 2:28-32)But Peter, standing up with the eleven, raised his voice and said to them, “Men of Judea and all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and heed my words. 15 For these are not drunk, as you suppose, since it is only the third hour of the day. 16 But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel:
17′And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God,That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh;Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,Your young men shall see visions,Your old men shall dream dreams. 18 And on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days; And they shall prophesy. 19 I will show wonders in heaven above And signs in the earth beneath:Blood and fire and vapor of smoke. 20 The sun shall be turned into darkness,And the moon into blood,Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the LORD. 21 And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the LORDShall be saved.’   *First Session audio tape Apostolic Evangelism Message 1 Part 1 to this point on 3/7*

NEW GROUND FOR 3/9

22 “Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a Man attested by God to you by miracles, wonders, and signs which God did through Him in your midst, as you yourselves also know —  23 Him, being delivered by the determined purpose and foreknowledge of God, you have taken by lawless hands, have crucified, and put to death; 24 whom God raised up, having loosed the pains of death, because it was not possible that He should be held by it.
25 For David (King and Prophet)says concerning Him:’I foresaw the LORD always before my face,For He is at my right hand, that I may not be shaken. 26 Therefore my heart rejoiced, and my tongue was glad; Moreover my flesh also will rest in hope. 27 For You will not leave my soul in Hades,Nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption. 28 You have made known to me the ways of life; You will make me full of joy in Your presence.’

29 “Men and brethren, let me speak freely to you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his tomb is with us to this day. 30 Therefore, being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that of the fruit of his body, according to the flesh, He would raise up the Christ to sit on his throne,   31 he, foreseeing this, spoke concerning the resurrection of the Christ, that His soul was not left in Hades, nor did His flesh see corruption.
32 This Jesus God has raised up, of which we are all witnesses.
33 Therefore being exalted to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He poured out this which you now see and hear.
34 “For David did not ascend into the heavens, but he says himself:’The LORD said to my Lord,’Sit at My right hand, 35 Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.”‘
36 “Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ.”
37 Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Men and brethren, what shall we do?”
38 Then Peter said to them,”Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.”
And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, “Be saved from this perverse generation.”

The FRUITS of this Message and Witness – the Gosple is the Power of God unto Salvation
41 Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them.
42 And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.
43 Then fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles.
44 Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common, 45 and sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all, as anyone had need.
46 So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people.
And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved. NKJV

Eph 6:10-2010 The Whole Armor of God
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.  13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints —
19 and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak. NKJV

2 Cor 2:1111 lest Satan should take advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices. NKJV

The LORD who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Is this not a brand plucked from the fire?”

Luke 22:31-32And the Lord said, “Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat.  32 But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren.” NKJV
Acts 5:3 But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit….:4 Why have you conceived this thing in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God.” NKJV
Rom 16:20 And the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly.NKJV
1 Cor 5:5 deliver such a one to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.   NKJV
1 Cor 7:5 Do not deprive one another except with consent for a time, that you may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again so that Satan does not tempt you because of your lack of self-control.  NKJV
2 Cor 2:11 lest Satan should take advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices. NKJV
2 Cor 11:14 And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. 15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works. NKJV
2 Cor 12:7 And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me,  NKJV
1 Thess 2:18 Therefore we wanted to come to you — even I, Paul, time and again — but Satan hindered us. NKJV
1 Tim 1:20 of whom are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I delivered to Satan that they may learn not to blaspheme. NKJV
1 Tim 5:15 For some have already turned aside after Satan. 16 If any believing man or woman has widows, let them relieve them, and do not let the church be burdened, that it may relieve those who are really widows. NKJV
Rev 2:9 “I know your works, tribulation, and poverty (but you are rich); and I know the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan. NKJV
Rev 2:13 “I know your works, and where you dwell, where Satan’s throne is. And you hold fast to My name, and did not deny My faith even in the days in which Antipas was My faithful martyr, who was killed among you, where Satan dwells.  NKJV
Rev 2:24 “Now to you I say, and to the rest in Thyatira, as many as do not have this doctrine, who have not known the depths of Satan, as they say, I will put on you no other burden.  25 But hold fast what you have till I come.  26 And he who overcomes, and keeps My works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations —   27′He shall rule them with a rod of iron; They shall be dashed to pieces like the potter’s vessels’ — as I also have received from My Father;  28 and I will give him the morning star.  29 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”‘  NKJV
Rev 3:9 Indeed I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews and are not, but lie — indeed I will make them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you. NKJV
Luke 13:16 So ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has bound — think of it — for eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath?”  NKJV
Acts 26:17B……to whom I now send you,  18 to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.’  NKJV
2 Thess 2:9 The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, 10 and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, 12 that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness. NKJV
Rev 12:9 So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. NKJV
Rev 20:7 Now when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be released from his prison 8 and will go out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle, whose number is as the sand of the sea. 9 They went up on the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city. And fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them. 10 The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever. NKJV
His doom, sealed at the Cross, is foretold in its stages in(Vine’s Expository Dictionary of Biblical Words)
Luke 10:18 And He said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.  19 Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.  20 Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.”  NKJV
Rev 20:2 He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years; 3 and he cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal on him, so that he should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years were finished. But after these things he must be released for a little while.
NKJV
Rom 16:20 And the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen. NKJV

Apostolic Evangelism Part One (1) Message 1 (1)

Scripture References:

1 Cor 15:1-4

Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, 2 by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you — unless you believed in vain. 3 For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures,NKJV
Heb 6:1-8 Therefore, leaving the discussion of the < elementary  principles (746) > of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, 2 of the doctrine of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. 3 And this we will do if God permits. 4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, 5 and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, 6 if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame. 7 For the earth which drinks in the rain that often comes upon it, and bears herbs useful for those by whom it is cultivated, receives blessing from God; 8 but if it bears thorns and briers, it is rejected and near to being cursed, whose end is to be burned. NKJV

Heb 5:12-1412 Spiritual Immaturity For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first (746) principles (4747) of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food. 13 For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe. 14 But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. NKJV

Acts 2:14-44
14 Peter’s Sermon (Joel 2:28-32)But Peter, standing up with the eleven, raised his voice and said to them, “Men of Judea and all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and heed my words. 15 For these are not drunk, as you suppose, since it is only the third hour of the day. 16 But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel: 17′And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God,That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh;Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,Your young men shall see visions,Your old men shall dream dreams. 18 And on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days; And they shall prophesy.
19 I will show wonders in heaven above And signs in the earth beneath:Blood and fire and vapor of smoke.
20 The sun shall be turned into darkness,And the moon into blood, Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the LORD.
21 And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the LORD Shall be saved.’
22 “Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a Man attested by God to you by miracles, wonders, and signs which God did through Him in your midst, as you yourselves also know —
23 Him, being delivered by the determined purpose and foreknowledge of God, you have taken by lawless hands, have crucified, and put to death;
24 whom God raised up, having loosed the pains of death, because it was not possible that He should be held by it.

25 For David says concerning Him:
‘I foresaw the LORD always before my face,For He is at my right hand, that I may not be shaken.
26 Therefore my heart rejoiced, and my tongue was glad; Moreover my flesh also will rest in hope.
27 For You will not leave my soul in Hades, Nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption.
28 You have made known to me the ways of life; You will make me full of joy in Your presence.’
29 “Men and brethren, let me speak freely to you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his tomb is with us to this day.
30 Therefore, being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that of the fruit of his body, according to the flesh, He would raise up the Christ to sit on his throne,
31 he, foreseeing this, spoke concerning the resurrection of the Christ, that His soul was not left in Hades, nor did His flesh see corruption.
32 This Jesus God has raised up, of which we are all witnesses.
33 Therefore being exalted to the right hand of God,
and having received from the Father
the promise of the Holy Spirit,
He poured out this which you now see and hear.
34 “For David did not ascend into the heavens, but he says himself:’The LORD said to my Lord,’Sit at My right hand, 35 Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.”‘
36 “Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified,
both Lord and Christ.”
37 Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles,
“Men and brethren, what shall we do?”
38 Then Peter said to them,”Repent,
and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins;
and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
39 For the promise is to you and to your children,
and to all who are afar off,
as many as the Lord our God will call.”

40 A Vital Church Grows
And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying,
“Be saved from this perverse generation.”
41 Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them.
42 And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine
and fellowship,
in the breaking of bread,
and in prayers.
43 Then fear came upon every soul,
and many wonders and signs were done
through the apostles. NKJV
